Spatial targeting and urban management toolkit

This Toolkit offers the spatial targeting method, process and tools to spatially transform South Africa’s metropolitan cities through both hard urban systems (spatial structures and networks, and infrastructure systems) and soft urban systems (such land use management and urban management) to achieve compact cities and transformed urban spaces of social and economic inclusion, and to future proof cities. This is done using a structured, outcomes-led Built Environment Value Chain (BEVC) approach that commences with spatial targeting, proceeds to catalytic programme development, implementation, and then urban management.
